We at Al Tayer Group are looking for an Interim Procurement Manager to develop the frameworks, policies and processes for procurement function across the Group, and rollout appropriate infrastructure to enable Business Units to procure cost effectively by leveraging economies of scale. This is a Senior Managerial contractual role with an approximate tenure of 12 to 18 months. The responsbilities would include: 1: Organization Assessment of existing organization structure and competencies. Create a centrally led procurement organization (i.e. introduce best frameworks and rollout appropriate infrastructure to enable Business Units to procure effectively) for indirect and services procurement. Set budgets and KPI's for the function/activity. 2. Spend Management and savings Create a spend cube from historic data comprising of categories, commodities and suppliers. Analyze achieved savings, set targets based on benchmarks and market conditions. Forecast spend and saving pipeline based on available budgets and historic spend. Identify synergies for spends across the group and consolidate 3. Category structure Based on spend and identified synergies across the group define a category structure and nominate Group Category Managers. Ensure Category strategies are created and implemented 4. Procurement strategy Creation of centralized procurement strategy for short, mid and long term focusing on: short term: fastest time to savings mid term:maximizing efficiency and processes, total cost of ownership long term: harnessing the supply market for competitive advantage 5. Stakeholder management Map key stakeholders across the Group, define a communication and influencing strategy to ensure buy-in, agree on regular meeting schedule and reporting 6. Supplier Base Management Analyze supplier base by ABC analysis, define strategic and key suppliers, define a Supplier Base Management process 7. Tools and processes Ensure the current ERP is suitable to manage centralized procurement efficiently. Implement e-sourcing including e-auctions. Create source-to-pay process across the Group The incumbent would have a bachelors or Masters’ Degree in supply chain management with atleast 10 – 15 years of experience and having in depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices. Stake holder management, vendor management and e sourcing experience in large size organisation is essential along with having a strong business acumen, customer orientation, knowledge of the regional market and a leadership / strategic view.
