The Opportunity The College of Technological Innovation seeks an incumbent for the position of Career Support and Outreach Administrative Officer who is responsible and reports to the College Dean, Faculty Internship Coordinator and Assistant Dean of Research and Outreach. The Career Support and Outreach Administrative Officer will support the College Faculty Internship Coordinator, the Student Employment Coordinator and the Assistant Dean of Research and Outreach in all internship, job placement, alumnae, and outreach related matters. The Responsibilities • Support the College Faculty Internship Coordinator in all College student internships, job placements and in the continuing development of the College Alumnae function. • Collaborate with the Student Careers Office, the College Faculty Internship Coordinator and relevant College administrative personnel to ensure all internship, job placement and alumnae programs are fully supported in the College. • Support the activities of the Student Employment Coordinator to increase employment opportunities for College students and alumnae. Maintain and monitor the full range of documentation and the College’s student internship employment and alumnae details. Liaise with the Student Careers Office to ensure the coordination of career related events both University wide and College specific as directed by the Student Careers Office including career fairs, employer days, speakers, employer visits and career related student trips. Support Career Education delivery efforts. Support and develop the on-going Career Resource Center promotional effort targeted at students and faculty. Support in ensuring that all basic career education documents are in Arabic and English. Support the efforts of the Faculty Internship Coordinator on basic career education and decision making within the College. • Support the Student Careers Office and Faculty Internship Coordinator in providing career information to students through 1:1 sessions and workshops. Support the Assistant Dean of Research and Outreach in administrative matters • Provide support to the internship supervisors to facilitate their interns site visits Assist in arranging necessary meetings/interviews between eligible CIT students and prospective employers. Provide administrative support for the college research and outreach activities Work closely with the University Research Office and the Institute for Community Engagement (ICE) Perform related duties as required by the Assistant Dean of Research and outreach and the College’s Internship Coordinators. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 2 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be highly computer literate and have familiarity with UAE culture. Arabic/English bilingual essential.
