Job Description

Department: Risk Management - Retail Credit Reporting to: Head of Retail & Credit Collection Job Location: Abu Dhabi Prepare monthly portfolio performance review reports of Finance House and/or Islamic Finance House products for Senior Management. Identify root cause analysis; data trends and the recommended action plan given the portfolio behavior with detailed, sub-segment-level analytics. Proactively gather feedback on portfolio trends. (Red-flag early trends / early-warning signals. Drive the collections strategy through the established portfolio analytics and the collector-level data review. Identify opportunities for growth with the help of detailed data analytics. Ensure that the reporting standards meet the requirements of BASEL II (and other related requirements). Ensure all regulatory reporting requirements are accurately satisfied in a timely manner. Track and monitor deviations to norms prescribed and breach in cap if any to be highlighted. Carry out market research on various fronts such as: demographics, competition, new products, economic trends, portfolio trends and early-warning triggers. Reconcile outstanding balances with GL balance, get involved in Retail Finance projects, review the Credit Scoring Model and monitor changes using portfolio monitoring tools. Desired Skills and Experience Minimum Qualification – Bachelors Degree in a relevant subject (Business, Accounting & Finance) Professional Qualification – Masters Degree in relevant subjects or Diploma in Banking preferred CA / CFA / FRM A Minimum of 8 years of experience in Retail / Consumer Banking in a Credit Risk related position covering: Financial Analysis, Risk Assessment / Management, Credit Facilities Structuring and Portfolio Management. An effective communicator in any medium, both internally and externally A self-motivated and determined individual with the ability to quickly understand and assess customers’ financial requirements. A team player that inspires and encourages excellent performance Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills Possession of strong risk analysis, portfolio management, negotiation, problem-solving and and (delete) mitigation skills Sound knowledge of the local market, solid PC skills in particular, spreadsheets, LOS and core systems
