Job Description

Aufgaben Reporting to Head of Regional Logistics Center Main Objective Monitor the performance of the Transport Service Providers. Resolve and support the provider with the daily logistical issues. Analyse the current route structure and look for efficiencies. Demand for improvement in the service level. Coordinate shipment movement/shipment information etc. between the Internal Customer Process Management Team & External Service Provider (Single Point of Contact) Main Tasks Monitor and Analyse External Service Provider Monitor & report Key Performance Indicator figures to the management Support and demand for improvement in service quality and performance from service providers Monitor all inbound and outbound transportation activities Analyse and develop efficiency measure for continuous improvement in the transportation routes Follow-up on corrective measures and further action plan Monitor and Analyse External Service Provider Manage the daily operational activities of service providers Coordinate transport related issues with various authorities: Ports & Custom, Chamber of Commerce for country specific matters Monitor Inbound & Outbound Lead-time in case of extensive lead-time define the required measures Handle Demurrage Cases & Lead-time control Organize and handle periodical meeting with service providers Communicate personnel and regulatory issues Adapt and process to ad hoc changes in regulations Coordinate with Neovia/Customer Process Management on Shipment Movements Liaise and coordinate the daily operational activities between the Transportation and Internal Customer Process Management Team Manage the reports (volume, chargeable weight, number of trucks, costs) submitted by Neovia Optimize daily shipment and control cost by changing the mode of dispatch Find alternative shipment routes in order to optimize transportation costs Preparing /Updating Tender Documentation Facilitate the Complete Tender Process Coordination & Liaise with the Procurement Team in Germany (Stuttgart) for the Tender process Updating Standard Operative Procedure for each Service Provider Support Service Provider during Integration/ Disintegration Phase Reporting to the Management Inbound and Outbound Cost Increase and effects on transportation cost Cost development and statistics Analyses Conduct Feasibility study on New Route/New Region Chances on reducing Transportation Cost Chances on improving Transportation service level Chances on improving Loading procedure in the truck Claims Control and analysis of the Transportation damages: cost and causes Develop measures in the warehouse and together with the Service Providers to decrease the claims Regional Logistics Centre Budget Participate in the RLC Budget and provide all the required data for the Transportation Budget Analyse & Monitor the annual transportation cost Support RLC with new projects Reman process – Coordinating with the return of Remanufactured parts from the dealers to Germany Milk Run – To work closely with the service providers for multiple delivery concept into Saudi Arabia Qualifikationen Attributes Passion Respect Integrity Discipline Dedication Commitment Analytical skills Good Organizational Skills Knowledge/Skills/Experience Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management mandatory Good analytical skills, ability to work cross-functional Shipping & transportation knowledge Knowledge of Desktop applications and systems Experience in Freight Forwarding/Contract Management will be an added advantage Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills English is a must, German and Arabic are a plus Qualification University degree or equivalent in Business Administration/ Major in Logistics & Supply Chain Management Start Date November 2016
