Contact and Cooperation: Internally: Company-wide with a focus on RAMs, Aegis Response, Crisis24 and CST Externally: Clients, government and statutory authorities, and service providers Job Outline: Generalist knowledge and expertise of providing geopolitical risk analysis on Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in the sector. * Produce concise and clear work as directed by Senior Manager and Senior Analyst(s) to a high standard and ability to meet hard deadlines without jeopardising output quality * Strong ability to interpret regional political and security events in MENA by making full use of all available information * Take into account commercial considerations of the client in relation to services and products * Follow processes and procedures to ensure optimal functioning of the team * Proactively seek feedback and demonstrably implement it between projects to improve output and teamwork * Work closely and productively with the rest of the team through support on client and senior management queries and briefings, * Provide support to business and source development when called on to do so Competencies: * 1-2 years of experience in geopolitical and security risk analysis in the MENA region through writing political and intelligence reports for a business audience. * Academic degree in political science, security studies, International relations or related subject(s) * Good understanding of geopolitical and security events and ability to place them in a wider context from previous similar role or from working in the region, * Demonstrable knowledge of some MENA countries through academic and/or professional research experience of the current political and socio-economic issues * Strong communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work across regions within GW's core markets, * Interest in developing a regional specialisation * Knowledge of an additional language is desirable: i.e. Arabic, Persian, French, etc. Accountability: The Analyst, SAT, is accountable to the Senior Manager, SAT for their responsibilities stated in this job description These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of their KPIs.
