We are seeking an Assistant Director Food & Beverage for the Bluewaters Resorts at the upcoming vibrant destination and home of Ain Dubai. Bluewaters is a man-made mixed use island located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence. Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel, forms the unique centerpiece of this development that is poised to become one of the world’s largest tourism hotspots. The island will also feature distinctive retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones, for more information: http://www.meraas.com/destinations/bluewaters-island/ The Assistant Director Food & Beverage is responsible for all aspects of F&B operations at the respective hotel, day-to-day staff management and guests. He / She should be an ambassador for the company and the hotel. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following; Providing leadership and strategic planning to Food & Beverage Division in support of our service culture, maximize operations and guest satisfaction. Menu engineering/development throughout the division with seasonal requirements including events. Overseeing and managing respective departments and working closely with Outlet Managers daily. Managing and developing the Outlet Managers team to ensure career progression and development. Be accountable for all responsibilities of Outlet Managers and take ownership of all guest complaints. Strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies. Closely monitoring the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly. Ensuring that monthly financial outlooks for Food & Beverage outlets on target and accurate. Maximizing F&B revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs. Qualifications The ideal candidate must be a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. University Degree/Diploma in hotel management or a related field with experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record. At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience, ideally including experience in leisure and tourism destination locations. 3 to 5 years of experience as Assistant Director Food & Beverage of a large size hotel with a mixologist/beverage background are preferable.
