Department The Finance Department has responsibility for planning, directing, and managing the provision of accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made. This department recommend remedial action when and where necessary. This position safeguards owner assets by creating and maintaining sound internal control systems. The Finance Department assists in the administration and management of the hotel's operation, maintaining established costs and quality standards. Job Description The suitable candidate will be responsible for the following: Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups to managers, clients, customers, and ownership. Must be able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Must ensure that correct backup is attached to the invoices Must balance and update invoice and payment journals Must manually pay telegraphic transfers in Adaco Must post all prepaid invoices with the monthly distributions Requirements Bachelor degree or related certification is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospitality or similar environment is required.
