Reporting to the Senior Manager of Admissions, Enrolment & IRO, the purpose of this role is to proactively advise prospective students and newly admitted students during the admission cycle by providing personalized support and serve as a resource for the applicants. Duties and Responsibilities: Student Recruitment • Represents the University both on and off-campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school students and other individuals/organizations involved in the pursuit of education. • Plans and implements recruitment activities for assigned high schools including organizing travel. • Supports the development of Student Recruitment Strategy with the Student Recruitment Officer to increase the quality and quantity of applications and inquiries, in local, regional and international markets • Participates in recruitment visits in UAE and overseas, including, but not limited to education fairs, open days, school/company and partner’s visits, education exhibitions, mall booths and road shows. • Develops and maintains good relationships with institutions, partners, government offices, schools, employers, strategic partners, career advisors, and recruitment representatives in UAE and abroad. • Ensures that prospect contact details at CRM is accurate. • Meets with potential students and conduct informative presentations to meet individual registration target. • Attends international students’ queries in person or by email and telephone; attends local students’ queries either on the counter, email or phone. • Calls prospectus students who fails to register for courses after being admitted at the university to identify problems and advise them on action. Admissions • Conducts one on one admission counselling sessions to advise applicants on admission criteria, process, and admission status. • Arranges appointment with professors as and when prospective students need to speak with them to provide more detail on courses. • Screens applications with recommendations regarding admission criteria and send to colleges for evaluation. • Informs students on their admission status, placement exams and registration options via phone, email, SMS or in person. • Follows up with newly admitted students regarding placement exams, registration dates, payment deadlines, missing documents, orientation dates, etc.); Provides campus tours if needed. • Follows up with students to ensure payment of admission/placement exam related fees. • Generates ID cards, usernames, passwords for students and prepares admission letters as requested by students. • Provide students with the access details on PeopleSoft, Blackboard and university email. • Consults students on the sections timing, and emails the schedule with information on payment deadlines, calendar, and orientation date. • Coordinates with the colleges the credit transfer requests of transferred students. • Contacts educational zone to follow up on equivalency or credit transfer when needed; process and post credit transfer request in ERP. • Ensure that students’ contact details and documents are accurately entered in ERP, Forward applications/documents to the Records Section at the Registration Department for filing. Assisting New Students • Provides assistance to first time registrants on selecting the courses and registration of courses. • Directs prospective students and new applicants, if needed, to financial aid/scholarships. • Directs new applicants on one hand to Student Support Services for student visas, transportation, lockers and accommodation. Reporting • Assists with attrition studies by contacting students to run attrition surveys with Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IRE). • Documents all calls with regards to caller inquiries accurately using the tracking system in place. Events • Participates in information sessions, student orientation, exhibitions and others to provide information about the university and the programs offered. • Assist in the development and delivery of on/off-campus events and programs for counselling groups and individuals.
