We are seeking Director of Business Development (Cluster) for the Bluewaters Resorts at the upcoming vibrant destination and home of Ain Dubai. Bluewaters is a man-made mixed use island located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence. Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel, forms the unique centerpiece of this development that is poised to become one of the world’s largest tourism hotspots. The island will also feature distinctive retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones, for more information: http://www.meraas.com/destinations/bluewaters-island/ The Director of Business Development (Cluster) is oversee and manage business development staff and reservation to ensure maximum revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities are achieved. He / She should be an ambassador for the company and the hotel. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following; The ideal candidate must be a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Able to provide leadership and strategic planning to all business development departments in support of our service culture, maximize operations and guest satisfaction. Overseeing and managing all business development departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis. Manage and develop the team to ensure career progression and development. Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints. A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies. Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for all revenue generation divisions are on target/accurate and take decisions accordingly. Maximizing room yield and hotels / resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs. Qualifications University Degree/Diploma in hotel management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record. At least 15 to 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience, ideally including experience in leisure and tourism destination locations. 3 to 5 years of experience as an Director of Sales & Marketing.
