JOB SUMMARY At this time we are only recruiting candidates that are Cleveland Clinic employees or have United States experience. The Imaging Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive services to patients in need of interventional and diagnostic radiology testing. The Imaging Institute provides a full scope of diagnostic and interventional imaging, including general x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, bone densitometry and both diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, using the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment. Our team has expertise in subspecialties such as neuroradiology, neuro-interventional, cardiothoracic/vascular imaging, Abdominal/Cross sectional imaging, interventional, nuclear medicine, molecular imaging and therapeutics. We offer advanced procedures, like stroke interventions, endovascular embolization of various vascular conditions, functional/dynamic MRI, PET/CT, and CT virtual colonography. SPECIALTIES Diagnostic Radiology Interventional Radiology Nuclear Medicine/Molecular Imaging QUALIFICATIONS PLEASE NOTE: ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED AND CONTACTED. Completion of clinical master/doctoral degree in nursing (or equivalent qualification) to include the following is required: Advanced Health Assessment Advanced Pathophysiology Diagnostic reasoning and differential diagnosis, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests Advanced pharmacotherapeutics for prescribing drugs as a Nurse Practitioner Health care management and health promotion Current license as a Registered Nurse and APRN in home country is required Further specific training/ certification and/or work experience in imaging is preferred Knowledge of nursing theory and practice in order to conduct patient assessments and develop complex plans of care at a level normally acquired through completion of a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from an accredited school of nursing Demonstration of knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s). This demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served Interpersonal skills necessary to educate family and significant others on care as well as provide emotional support, deal effectively with physicians, and provide education to nursing staff Analytical ability to assess the condition of a patient and provide care based on the physical examination, appearance, and laboratory and related clinical data, develop patient plan of care, monitor progress toward goals, and recognize and initiate emergency interventions as appropriate Ability to speak and write in English is required Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred Two (2) years experience post qualification as a Nurse Practitioner is required Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is located on Al Maryah Island, the heart of Abu Dhabi’s new central business district.
